Your new company
We have an exciting opportunity to join a well established local government here in Perth. 2018 promises to be their most exciting year yet, with a host of new facilities opening their doors in Perth's main cultural and tourists areas. As the most prominent local government in WA the city acts as a welcome guide for national and international visitors from across the globe.
Your new role
As the Injury Management Coordinator you will be responsible for maintaining safe work practices in accordance with OHS legislation. You will establish a comprehensive injury management and return to work framework for this local government, with a primary focus on timely return to work. You will work closely with the Senior Safety Coordinator, OSH Coordinators and ER Advisors to implement and manage this framework and establish protocols that align with legislative requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a Tertiary qualification in Health Sciences and a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. You will have sound knowledge of Workers Compensation Legislation, employee/industrial relations and a proactive approach to return to work and injury management. Previous experience managing these processes under the Local Government Insurance Scheme and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are desirable.
