About the business

Bilba Group is comprised of various business units being Northern Stock Water, Elsam, Joco Fencing and Great Northern Tanks. We supply high quality Water development products to large rural cattle stations and the mining and industrial industries throughout Northern Australia. The Bilba Group is also partnered in two large rural cattle stations in the NT.


We are currently looking for a highly motivated, confident and reliable person to join our committed team in the provision of recruitment and HR services.
 

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Self-motivated and able to provide end-to-end recruitment
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and award interpretation
• Ongoing development and review of HR policies and procedures aligned to best practice and current legislation
• Maintain and monitor employer sponsor obligations and foreign workers
• Manage 457 Visa's, TSS Visa and permanent residency applications with the Department of Immigration
• Excellent organisational skills (multi-tasking second nature)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work unsupervised and show initiative, self-managing
• Coordinating recruitment and selection across the organisation
• Working cohesively with other departments
• Handling sensitive information and conversations professionally
• The Administration and maintenance of electronic filing system for all employees across the companies

Skills and experience

What you will need….
Essential:
• Ability to demonstrate prior experience working in a similar role (at least 3 years)
• A strong understanding of HR legislation and requirements, specifically knowledge of lawful employment practices and compliance.
• Experience in immigration processes an advantage
• Proven attention to detail and problem-solving skills is essential in this role

• Self-motivated, attention to detail, personable, friendly and approachable
• Able to use initiative, work on multiple projects concurrently and work well under pressure
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and award interpretation
• Personable team player who enjoys a hands-on operational role
• Have a pro-active approach and positive attitude
• Be confident and have a willingness to provide guidance to others in this field
• The ability to communicate well, and have an open and honest approach
• Effective time management and planning skills
• Able to balance conflicting priorities and to work to deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive information in a professional manner
