About the Role
Opportunity on a 6 month contract has arisen for a Recruitment Officer to join the Human Resources department in Wacol. Reporting to the National Talent Acquisition Manager, the purpose of the role is to add value to the business by efficiently delivering recruitment advice, support and services that assist hiring managers in finding the right people for vacancies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring the attraction, recruitment and selection process is confidential, transparent, fair and merit based.
- Supporting managers with recruitment and selection processes (including job approvals, screening, shortlisting, advertising, interviewing, verifications, assessments, reference checking, medicals and offers) in accordance with company Recruitment Procedures
- Managing and collating applications and responses; ensuring timely updates are provided to managers and candidates alike on stages of recruitment progress
- Proactively sourcing talent; internally, externally and via coordination of labour hire agencies
- Effectively utilising and managing the recruitment system (Revelian) and its database, including talent pooling, record keeping, reporting and providing candidate care
- Managing recruitment-related HR processes, assisting with internal transfers/secondments and coordinating employee relocations when required
- Adhering to, and providing advice and guidance on equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination, plus company’s diversity, harassment, bullying & discrimination and privacy policies
Requirements:
- A D&A Screen will be a site requirement
- Minimum 5 years internal Recruitment experience (Blue and White Collar)
- Sound knowledge of the resources industry; preferably mining related
- Knowledge of Employee Relations as it relates to internal recruitment; involving Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislation
- E-recruitment experience with knowledge of recruitment systems/platforms and databases
- Proven conflict resolution and influencing skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise well, supported by technology use
- Strong administration and coordination skills with the ability to multi task
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to build and manage relationships
- The ability to identify process improvement opportunities and suggest/implement solutions
- Capacity and confidence to make decisions and resolve issues
- Human Resource qualifications desired but not essential
