An opportunity has become available for a WHS Officer to join our dynamic team based at our Dinmore Plant. The successful applicant for the position will be highly motivated, experienced and drive a reduction in injury rates by providing effective support and professional advice on all Workplace Health and Safety related issues across the site. Specific focus will be on implementation and maintenance of a proactive safety management system across the site.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient and effective WHS practices that are aligned to business objectives and values.
- Ensuring compliance to all legislation, policies and procedures including but not limited to WHS, Confined Space, PPE, Legionella, Asbestos, etc.
- Investigate all work related injuries, illnesses and or Incidents.
- Developing effective relationships with all relevant internal, external stakeholders and employees.
- Complete all necessary reporting including internal and external requirements.
- Supervise the First Aid, Workers Compensation and Safety functions on site.
Criteria:
- Diploma qualified in WHS or related field preferable.
- Possess a current senior level first aid certificate.
- Good communication and supervisory skills.
- Previous experience in investigating workplace related injuries or illnesses.
