To support our growing business, Trojan is seeking an experienced and talented individual to become part of our dynamic and close-knit Newcastle team as a Senior Account Manager.

About the role

As a Trojan Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for the successful management of existing clients and ensuring total client satisfaction. Additionally, you will also be required to develop relationships with potential new clients and convert these relationships into new business for the organisation.

The Newcastle branch is a close-knit and very good natured team, so it is of special importance that you are able to fit seamlessly within the existing great culture of the branch. As a part of this fit, you will occasionally need to assist your teammates with the attraction, selection, engagement and management of candidates. Everyone in the branch pitches in to help each other when the need arises.

Key to your success will be your resilience, self-motivation and desire to achieve; your capacity to work well within a team as well as your capacity for building strong relationships and delivering results.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and strengthening business relationships with existing and potential clients, which extends to site visits / start-ups;
  • Client development and generating new business leads through cold calling;
  • Exploring possibilities for business growth across (non-construction) market sectors;
  • Maintaining a good rapport with all stakeholders;
  • Quotations and rate calculations;
  • Continued updating and maintenance of the client and candidate database; and
  • Occasional recruitment activities to assist teammates within the branch.

At Trojan, we pride ourselves on upholding the highest WH&S standards at all times. In line with this, you will be expected to maintain these safety standards through responsibilities including but not limited to carrying out job safety analyses, risk assessments and site safety audits.

Skills and Experience

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have demonstrated account management experience within the industrial (blue collar) recruitment sector. You will also be able to hit the ground running by demonstrating the following:

  • Ability to multi-task, work to tight deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment;
  • A resilient, passionate and results-orientated personality - you are motivated by building strong connections and providing outstanding service to your clients;
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Self-motivation and individual discipline to work autonomously and effectively;
  • Solid recruitment, account management and client/business development experience;
  • While not essential, trade industry experience will be highly regarded; and
  • You must possess a driver’s licence and motor vehicle for on the job use. A motor vehicle allowance will be provided to the successful candidate.
