About the role

Reporting to the CEO, this role will sit as part of the leadership team and work across all levels of the organisation to provide an informed, professional and efficient service on all aspects of HR management and business strategy. This role works as a Business Partner to the leaders and ensures all people practices are closely aligned with Brisbane Marketing’s vision and goals.

You will lead a Senior People & Culture Advisor, and as a small team will focus your time across both day to day advisory and operational tasks.  You will be involved in longer term strategic projects, including:

  • Working with business leaders to drive the annual HR cycles across performance reviews, remuneration, recruitment and induction, workforce planning and training and development;
  • Develop and drive initiatives in relation to culture development, cross team collaboration and change management;
  • Lead the consultation and roll out of organisational change programs and engagement initiatives;
  • Work proactively with leaders to manage performance and engagement;
  • Consult with the business to identify training, as well as professional development opportunities.

 

About the person

This position requires a strong and engaging HR specialist and a driver of change. The ideal person will have proven experience in elevating a HR function.  You will build credibility and trust with leaders through your engaging style. You will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline
  • Experience in similar HR Business Partnering or HR Management position with a services organisation of a small to medium enterprise;
  • Proven experience in the development of a HR function in a fast paced and transformative business;
  • Demonstrated experience working with business leaders to influence and guide their decision-making and influence culture;
  • A proactive, professional and down to earth working style and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business;
