The Recruitment Services branch within People and Culture provides expert advice and support to the department on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices. Working within the Department of Justice and Regulation's strategic objective of 'building a high performing justice system', Recruitment Services delivers consultative, progressive, innovative, fair and ethical recruitment solutions.

About the role

As the Regional Recruitment Business Partner, you will ensure that target hires are achieved in the Community Correctional Services and Youth Justice Community portfolio, effectively partnering with regional stakeholders to deliver end-to-end or part services recruitment support.

This includes:

  • undertaking the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, background checking and offer management
  • providing professional recruitment consulting services to clients within your regional portfolio
  • educating staff within your region on recruitment processes, best practice recruitment methodologies and legislative requirements
  • facilitating and attending public information centres career expos and other relevant employment related events
  • continuously building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a fixed-term opportunity until 30 June 2019, based at 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. Travel to regional locations will also be required.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • subject matter expertise in recruitment, with demonstrated recruitment business partnering skills
  • experience in managing a diverse and geographically spread stakeholder group to deliver a consistent, high quality recruitment service
  • the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with managers and staff at varying levels of seniority.
