Nexus Construction is a 100% Australian owned supplier and manufacturer of building supply products and hire equipment. The company is national with branches in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Reporting to the financial controller you will be responsible for:

• Completing hazard risk assessments and safety audits.
• Facilitating tool-box talks and Committee meetings.
• Looking after record keeping and documentation.
• Overseeing scheduled maintenance and monitoring requirements.
• Looking after traffic management and emergency procedures.
• Maintaining and apply up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to OH&S.
• Inducting new employees and contractors.
• Guiding injured workers through the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation process.
• Undertaking additional duties as required.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
• Extensive experience as an OH&S Coordinator.
• Experience in Return to work and workers compensation claims management.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously.
