About the role

This role is responsible for providing high quality advice and consulting services to Victorian Chamber members, customers and clients in all aspects of workplace relations and employment legislation, including conducting a range of training and information sessions. You will have the opportunity to mentor, coach and provide support to the wider workplace relations team on contemporary industrial relations practices. This role will allow you to you utilise your extensive workplace relations skills to provide advice and services at a complex level.

About you

This role will ideally suit someone seeking a challenging and diverse role with a passion for workplace relations. You will have tertiary qualifications in HR or IR (or equivalent industry experience) and have proven ability to develop and deliver quality training materials. Our ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • comprehensive workplace relations knowledge and industry experience
  • proven ability to conduct effective and complex workplace investigations
  • experience in representing members at formal industrial conciliations and hearings
  • experience in negotiating with employee organisations representing employer interests
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • proven ability to develop professional formal documents
  • demonstrated ability to actively seek and secure business opportunities
  • strong leadership and mentoring skills
