Client Details

Our client is seeking to build a national HR portfolio for a large Australian Manufacturing business.

Description

Reporting directly to the CEO you will assist the operational teams to provide sound, accurate advice, provide recommendations and solutions affecting people matters within the business to maximise the return on investment this organisation. You manage two direct reports nationally. You lead by example and are motivated to develop a high performing culture whilst using a strategic approach to deliver exceptional business outcomes.

  • You have an in-depth knowledge of managing a Human Resources function and your passion for People Services is evident in your coaching and leadership style
  • You will ensure business plans are developed to achieve strategic priorities and performance goals of staff are aligned, ensuring accountabilities and authorities are clear
  • Conduct analysis of HR metrics and prepare actions plans for improvement
  • Travel is required to the national sites
  • You will be responsible for all health and safety matters of this organisation
  • Lead the development and implementation of programs designed to attract, engage, develop and retain talent to support the effective achievement of the company’s objectives
  • Create succession plans for the relevant business units
  • Manage all union correspondence and award and EBA negotiations
  • Implement programs to enhance leadership capability
  • Manage the annual salary and incentive review and bench-marking process
  • Provide advice and counsel on WH&S Risk Management issues to ensure compliance
  • Actively work with Workplace Navigation to manage claims and minimise costs

Profile

This role would suit a senior executive with strong background in a blue collar environment.

  • 10+ years experience in a HR leadership role
  • The ability to work in partnership with senior management teams, line managers and employees
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing a human resources strategy
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of negotiating Enterprise Agreements
  • The ability to develop a high performing culture whilst developing leadership pipelines and succession plans
  • Substantial experience in a leadership capacity in a manufacturing environment

Job Offer

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the leadership to drive culture and commercial outcomes. The salary on offer is $180,000 package plus company benefits. You will have exposure to the national portfolio and have the opportunity to coach and develop the leadership team and manage two direct reports. Parking is available on-site.
