Career Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate HR Coordinator to join our HR team for an immediate start.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience with coordinating labour and mobilisations within the Oil & Gas Industry.

About the Role:

You will be expected to take a lead position within the HR team, oversee the coordination of labour across a number of projects and actively engage with department managers, as well as:

  • Advise & Assist Managers in applying sound recruitment and selection practices, appropriate inductions, training & development programs.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance management system.
  • Coordinate training and inductions for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain employee training records ensuring compliance of certificates.
  • Create position descriptions as and when required in consult with line managers.
  • Provide advice regarding terminations and disciplinary action.
  • Maintain personnel records.
  • Maintain work cover claims and lodgements.
  • Manage project specific mobilisation processes
  • Efficiently manage resourcing change and reallocation of labour to projects to avoid project delays
  • Maintain familiarisation with current legislation including; Superannuation, ATO, Fair Work Australia, NES & Associated Awards.
  • Liaise with external providers as and when required.

Skills and Experience:

  • High level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and public speaking
  • Strong analytical background with the ability to evaluate information quickly, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense
  • Strong personal attributes, including resilience, initiative, judgement and self-confidence
  • Ability to handle confidential information and situations in a sensitive manner.
  • Interpret and analyse industrial awards and salary information and remain aware of changes to benefit entitlements
  • Understanding of Quality Procedures & OHS Knowledge
  • Excellent time management skills in delivering within tight deadlines

  • 5+ years' related experience
  • 3+ years' related experience within the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Proven background in Human Resources
  • You must have the right to work in Australia to apply.
