About the role
This position forms part of the HR support team for our Travel Hospitality Services (THS) division. Based at Perth Airport you will partner with the Operations Team for Perth Airport, Darwin Airport and Alice Springs Airport.
Being a true HR generalist you will provide guidance and support to our team on all areas of human resources management including recruitment, performance management, reward and recognition, coaching and development, HR administration, training, OH&S and compliance.
The role is offered on a Part time, fixed term basis for 6 months with the possibility of gaining further opportunities upon completion of this tenure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment activities
- Coordinate on boarding and training activities
- Facilitate company training programs and employee development
- Supporting performance management of team members
- Oversee Visa management activities for the sites
- Ensuring legislative, policy and procedure compliance
- Promoting a positive and inclusive organisational culture
- Supporting OHS and Workcover
- Manage HR administration activities
Criteria/Qualifications:
- Technical strength through experience in a similar generalist role, preferably within the hospitality or retail industry
- Solid experience in end to end recruitment and selection
- Demonstrated ability to manage a range of performance and employee relations issues
- Effective coaching and advisory skills
- Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of a diverse team
- A demonstrated calm mature approach to dealing with issues
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation & Work Cover
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources will be highly regarded
Please note: the successful candidate will be required to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a background and criminal history check.
