Reporting to the HR Partner the Human Resources Consultant supports the delivery of HR services and support across the Eastern Region which includes our North Sydney and Newcastle offices. You will enjoy a busy working environment with an interesting mix of support to our business leaders and hands on operational HR support to the broader teams. You will be joining a function that enjoys the support of the business and has mature and advanced processes and systems that minimise administrative duties, allowing the HR Delivery Consultant to work collaboratively with the HR team to spend time advising and supporting the business in practical ways. 

In this true generalist role, you will have the opportunity to provide advice and support to the business across the full range of HR activities including talent management, global career framework, benefits, mobility, on boarding, policy/procedure, employee relations, compensation & benefits and learning and development and much more. 

About you 

Ideally you will have relevant qualifications and demonstrated industry experience in a professional services environment or the infrastructure, resources or heavy industrial sector. You should have a strong generalist background and interest in working across the full range of HR services. You will have demonstrated success in providing HR advice to leaders in complex organisations whose people strategies need to be agile and enable the business to respond positively to changes in the region and global markets. You will be a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude, and will be happy to get involved in all levels of work – from administrative through to the more strategic elements of HR. Key to your success will be an open and consultative style supported by excellent communication skills, a natural relationship building ability and a drive to think outside the box.  

You will have demonstrated experience with the delivery of remuneration and benefits, including:

  • Providing remuneration advice to managers 
  • Manage market benchmarking requests as required
  • Support the Annual Salary Review process
  • Support annual Job Matching exercise as required
