Lake Macquarie City Council is currently undertaking a program of change and renewal to ensure that the organisation and the City continues to have high calibre, innovative employees, dedicated to providing high quality service to the community.

The Opportunity
To support this organisational improvement strategy, Council is seeking an experienced HR professional to join the organisation. This newly created role forms part of a project team working closely with the leaders across the organisation.

The role of People Support Business Partner is a senior position within the team and will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the transition of the organisation to an activity based workplace, providing specialist operational and strategic advice and support in relation to employee and industrial relations matters, and mentoring other members of the team and across the organisation in relation to best practice people, culture and leadership.

Specifically, this person will develop partnerships with business units and gain an in-depth understanding of business objectives in order to achieve organisational performance goals in an environment that is focused, agile and high-performing.

This is a 12 month full time contract appointment based in Lake Macquarie.
