About the role
Estia Health have an exciting role for an Injury Management and Safety expert focused on embedding our strong safety focus and ensuring positive recovering at work outcomes for our employees. The role will be overseeing the WHS and Injury Management process for our Queensland portfolio and will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of the role include monitoring and continuously improving the Injury Management and WHS systems across QLD, coaching and mentoring key stakeholders on the relevant processes and proactive management of workplace incidents and injuries with a focus on minimising LTI claims.
In addition, the successful candidate will work with the boarder Safety and Injury Management team to contribute to the planning and delivery of initiatives focused on reducing the frequency and severity of workplace injuries, and ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our employees.
About you
- Tertiary educated in a relevant Allied Health or WHS field
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a WHS and Injury Management/rehabilitation
- Demonstrated customer focused mindset and approach to problem solving
- Experience with and sound understanding of applicable WHS and Work Cover legislation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
- Well developed written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to engage with external and internal stakeholders
- Effective time management and organisation skills
- Effective computer skills, particularly excel, experience with risk/injury management systems preferable
