This is an outstanding opportunity to apply your HR experience within the not-for-profit area working for a leading organisation in the health and community sector. Available immediately and until the end of August (with a possibility for extension) you will act as a consultant to business leaders to deliver a range of people and culture tools and services within your division in the South Eastern Suburbs. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager People & Culture, and working closely with the Senior Executive team, your role will be to act as an Advisor to the management teams in relation to a range of HR/IR issues. This position is key to influencing behavioural change and identifying and filling HR-related needs for optimum business outcomes. You will achieve this by understanding the business’ financial position, short and long-term plans, culture, and then use this info to assist managers to make commercially viable employee decisions.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Consult with client leadership teams to provide people and culture guidance in alignment with divisional aims and objectives 
  • Understand and apply people and culture policies, procedures and systems
  • Act as single point of contact for business leaders relating to all components of the HR life-cycle
  • Coordinate the interface between people and culture functions and the internal clients and represent the interest of both parties 
  • Building strong relationships with internal clients
  • Form a community of practice with other Business Partners to ensure a collaborative service delivery and continuous people and culture approach to the internal client
  • Provide workforce reporting, analysis and insights as required 
  • Effect disciplinary action, including termination of employment associated with workplace relations matters
To take on this critical role, you will be degree qualified in areas of Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations.  You will also demonstrate relevant and vast experience working within this role, ideally within the disability services sector, but this is not essential. You will be able to hit the ground running with strong communication skills and an understanding of the health and community sector.
