The Gruyere gold deposit in Western Australia is one of Australia’s most exciting new gold projects. Gold Road Resources and Gold Fields are proud to have an established 50/50 JV partnership over Gruyere. With Gold Fields as the JV manager, the team at Gruyere have hit the ground running and are working hard to achieve first gold production in early 2019.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent we are seeking a Training Coordinator to ensure quality delivery and administration of training across site. The successful incumbent will actively work towards the implementation of new training processes in line with the organisation-wide move towards a systematic approach to training.
This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth. Flexibility around this roster will be required, details of which will be discussed with applicants who progress to the interview stage.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the strong safety culture and performance of Gold Fields and ensures that the Vital Behaviours program is supported and strengthened.
- Develop site-wide training plans by driving and supporting the site training needs analysis process, including workforce planning in conjunction with the HR team, and coordinating with Supervisors and Department Managers to determine development need priority and criticality.
- Ensure data integrity of the Learning Management System by building and regularly updating role based training profiles, competency frameworks, gap analyses and training records.
- Facilitate, as required, the presentation of internal training programs within own area of expertise and coach/provide guidance to other subject matter experts to present content in their field.
- Develop and coordinate Gruyere Learning and Development projects including the development and design of e-learning packages catering for site needs.
- Assist with the development of individual training plans by facilitating discussions between Supervisors and Coordinators/Department Managers and the employee (as appropriate), and providing advice regarding specific learning interventions for skills/knowledge gaps.
- Develop and coordinate training schedules for internal and external programs, considering individual training plans, program criticality, rosters, annual leave and operational constraints.
Key factors to your success include:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment essential
- Tertiary qualification in Training or similar would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated training coordination and project management experience
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Office applications
- 5+ years within the mining industry, preferably gold, inclusive of experience in designing and delivery of job specific training
- Previous experience providing supervision of training, as per AQTF requirements, across a heavy-industry operation would be highly desirable
