Based in the South East Suburbs of Perth, my client are specialists in designing, supplying and servicing control valves across a variety of industries including oil and gas and mining / resources sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis (depending on the candidate). The business is in a strong growth and development stage as it continues to widen and develop its offerings in both products and services.

Working collaboratively with the Leadership Team they wish to appoint a professional, Degree Qualified HR Manager who will assume the responsibility of leading circa 100 Staff in a dynamic, fast paced business that exceeds expectations through innovation.
 
The role encompasses leading the total HR People function, Head Office HR Administration, WHS Compliance and Inter-State Businesses with a focus on consistent development of all appropriate procedures and policies including the provision of professional advice to all levels of the organisation on related matters.
 
The successful person will likely possess most if not all the following attributes:
Degree in Human Resource Management (or relevant tertiary studies)
Understanding of HR Laws and experience the development of EBA’s / IFA’s
 
Advantageous additional knowledge/experience
  • WHS / Return to work / Occupational First Aid
  • Implementation of HRMS
  • Essentially, the ability to develop, implement, manage and maintain the consistent measurement of issues that support the accomplishment of the Company's strategic goals and the improvement of processes that add Clarity, Value, Efficiency, Safety and Teamwork are key.

As this role has national responsibility, travel to our facilities and Client sites is required. The remuneration package and benefits will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
 
Reporting to the Corporate and Finance Director, you will provide HR support across all states. Your duties will include:
  • Under broad direction, develop, review, implement and maintain various human resources strategy, policies, procedures and processes
  • Provide assistance on a range of employee and industrial relations matters
  • Provide support with HR projects and strategies, policy development and implementation
  • Identify and share HR best practices and recommendations within the company
  • Salary benchmarking for positions against industry and business averages
  • Complete/co-ordinate new employee on boarding process including recruitment, inductions and pertinent training
  • Devise plans and techniques with the Senior Management to drive change and culture management
  • Monitor employment legislation and advise on any pertinent amendments including Modern Awards, wage increases, leave entitlements etc. and advise payroll accordingly
  • Guide Managers on the disciplinary process and requirements whilst preparing all relevant company documentation
  • Implement and improve practices and processes for recruitment and selection, training and development and succession planning.

To be successful in this role you will be an accomplished HR professional and have worked in a fast paced, national sales and service environment with multiple workshops in different states (experience with Awards, IFA’s, EBA’s and unions would be advantageous). You will be a clear and confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with complex situations and senior managers. Your qualifications will compliment your practical experience.
