Are you looking for an entry level human resources role in a highly professional and dynamic work environment?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exceptional human resources adminsitrator or graduate to join the human resources team of an international law firm. This role is based in Perth and will provide administrative support to the Human Resources team, all internal clients in Australia and globally, and external applicants.

As the Human Resources Assistant you will enjoy responsibilities such as:

  • Providing administrative support of a general and confidential nature to the Human Resources team including filing, telephone messages, photocopying, scanning and electronic diary maintenance;
  • Assisting with pre and post interview tasks for lateral hires including printing and acknowledgement of applications;
  • Assisting with the preparation of relevant paperwork including contracts and internal and external notifications relating to staff appointments;
  • Assisting with the scheduling of induction programs and keeping precedent training templates accurate and up to date;
  • Preparing staff arrival documentation and ensure key documents are distributed to relevant members of the HR team and wider office;
  • Assisting the HR team with arranging health and wellbeing activities such as ergonomic assessments, first aid training for staff and annual flu vaccinations;
  • Assisting with the organisation of firm social events; and
  • Assisting the HR team with other administrative duties as required.

With a relatively small domestic team, this role will perfectly suit someone who is passionate about human resources and eager to learn, and who enjoys a collaborative and supportive work environment. You will work alongside the Human Resources Consultant and General Manager, giving you the chance to kick start your career in human resources under the guidance of an experienced team.

What you will bring to the role

To succeed in this role you will have previous administrative experience in a professional services environment and/or relevant tertiary qualification. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential along with strong attention to detail skills. You will have the ability to prioritise and a commitment to teamwork.

You are also an enthusiastic and motivated individual with personal drive to succeed in a human resources career. A high level of confidentiality and professionalism will see you excel in this role.
