ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a pivotal member of the senior leadership team, we seek to appoint a Human Resource generalist to lead a business we are already proud of, to the next echelon.  Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer and external extending to our valued business partners, you will strategise on moving the business and individuals forward.

Having successfully coached and developed small management teams and led cultural and development improvement initiatives in positions past, you will have garnered a background in HR within FMCG / Manufacturing / Processing / Food / Protein industries, to afford a keen appreciation for landscape. 

With a focus on managing, coaching and developing MPG’s management and operational teams, manoeuvring geographic restraints that incur a requirement to travel regularly, you will embody the following principles:

  • Possessing the aptitude to lead a team from the front line - Providing guidance, coaching, development, support and best in class training initiatives and strategies.  You can provide credible guidance in a mentor/mentoree dynamic, as you have done and will continue to, walk the talk;
  • Familiarity working in result focused, outcome driven environments to improve business outcomes – With a comfortability comprehending complex framework and interpreting data to improve individual or business capability, coupled with the ability to instinctively harness key metrics and conduct meaningful analysis, you will ultimately move teams toward achieving agreed business outcomes;
  • Ensuring overall compliance - Across all relevant legislation and policies pursuant to client, site & Industry coupled with providing the tools for teams to uphold contractual Service Level Agreement stipulations and governing processes.  You will be ultimately accountable for compliance across the group, including the continuous improvement holistically and management of the Operational Management System;
  • Provide overarching operational HR Leadership and Initiatives – Building and implementing robust human resource solutions compiled on the back of comprehensive group mapping, consultation and familiarisation of business critical data and trends to make recommendations across policies & procedures, reward programs, performance management, on-boarding, learning & development, organisational change management, succession planning and providing counsel to the management team regarding interpretation of policies and procedures;
  • Passion to cultivate a high performing team of loyal followers creating buy in laterally and vertically – A true thought leader, you believe in painting the picture, understanding individual’s intrinsic motivators, strengths and developmental opportunities and developing succession and training plans that empower and motivate others to drive their own careers.  In creating a well-oiled machine that operates autonomously and is greased with trust, respect and loyalty you will nourish our operational champions to become trusted advisors and subject matter experts our business partners rely upon.

SUCCESS PROFILE

In order to be considered for this career opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 + years in a generalist HR appointment;
  • Senior or leadership experience within FMCG / Manufacturing / Processing / Food / Protein industries
  • Technical expertise of industry best practice and the pragmatism to apply and effect change with positive uptake
  • Ability to organically foster relationships across the organisation at all levels with high approachability
  • Ability to provide appropriate referees as direct managers on ELT/SLT that will attest to your performance and provide examples of successful implementations, strategies and cultural transformations.
