Our client is a leading healthcare organisation in the Warrnambool area who have serviced the community for more than 50 years. An opportunity for the position of Manager – People & Culture (P&C) for a 12 month parental leave coverage contract is now on offer. Working across all aspects of the organisation the Manager P&C will manage systems, processes, procedures, reports and audits and report to the Director of HR.

The responsibilities included below are indicative of the role, but by no means exhaustive:
  • Strategic and organisational development with a focus on future workforce planning;
  • Driving the recruitment strategy across the business units, thinking outside the square to attract and retain talent and managing all end-to-end recruitment activities;
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant employee awards and pay rates;
  • Generating weekly and monthly reports with HR insights for Director HR review;
  • Coaching the management team in a variety of people focused activities, including interviewing, performance reviews and appropriate resolution of ER issues;
  • Develop, deliver, manage, advise on and support a full range of people management functions; and
  • Implementing and managing HR policies and procedures, OH&S systems and risk management programs.
The successful candidate will excel in a team environment partnering effectively with Directors, staff, management peers, prospective candidates, suppliers, as well as the Warrnambool and greater South-West community. They will also be highly pro-active, independent, show good judgement and be capable of executing their role with minimal instruction and supervision.

To be successful in securing this role, the Manager P&C will have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or Business;
  • At least 5 years HR experience;
  • Be available to relocate to South-West Victoria prior to September 2018;
  • Demonstrated management and staff development experience;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with an ability to develop and build rapport instantly with people.
An excellent remuneration package will be offered, including attractive salary packaging options, however the lifestyle benefits of living on the Great South Coast are harder to quantify! This role is a contract position of 12 months parental leave cover, with potential scope to extend pending work return of the incumbent.
