The Role
 
This attractive agency is seeking an EL1 level L&D professional to cover a 12 month maternity leave. Working within a dynamic and close knit HR team you will be focusing on L&D while working closely with the broader People team. In this smaller agency you have more exposure and interaction with the SES level staff and the opportunity to be innovative and dynamic in your approach. This role has 2 direct reports and so you will also have a passion for mentoring and developing your team. 

As well as having a solid generalist HR knowledge base you will have specific responsibility for:

  • Management and ongoing development of the LMS system.
  • Managing the procurement and scheduling of L&D initiatives
  • Strategic planning that aligns with the broader workforce and capability plans
  • Direct management of an APS5 & APS6 
 
This role will see you embrace the L&D space and bring your own flair and ideas to add immense value to the Department via the L&D function. You will build strong relationships with your stakeholders and be able to liaise and advise up the senior level executives. 
 
 

Your Skills and Experience 
 
In order to ensure your success in this role you will be an accomplished HR professional and have comprehensive knowledge and experience across contemporary Learning and Development practices.

You must demonstrate 
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to strongly engage your stakeholders, at all levels. 
  • Expertise in eLearning and managing an LMS.
  • Demonstrated experience driving strategic HR initiatives. 
  • The ability to work in a high pressure and demanding role and work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
