The Role

Reporting to the Project Director and working with key project stakeholders, this hands on role will see you providing operational HR support to the project team. We are seeking someone who is committed to making a difference to the team:

Duties of the role include a range of people related priorities including but not limited to:

  • Advising, guiding and supporting the project team on generalist HR matters
  • Providing key IR advice and support to the leadership team
  • Managing the implementation and monitoring of the Project Workplace Relations Management Plan, enterprise agreement interpretation, Code Compliance and subcontractor management
  • Developing and implementing HR project processes and policies
  • Facilitating the recruitment and selection process
  • Coordinating and implementing staff training and development
  • Providing guidance and support to ensure a culture of effective engagement is developed and maintained on the project
  • Delivering HR/IR training

About You

We are seeking a passionate hands on HR generalist with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience (at least 5 years) providing HR and IR support to line managers in a construction project environment – preferably in a Joint Venture environment
  • Solid understanding of HR/IR legislation
  • Strong understanding of developing leadership capability
  • Excellent generalist HR skills
  • The ability to lead, influence, coach and mentor project management teams
