About the role

Reporting to the Group Injury Manager, the Group Return to Work Coordinator is a member of the broader health and safety team and will assist in driving early intervention and injury management strategies to support staff return to pre-injury duties within best practice guidelines.

An exciting opportunity, this position will provide support to all locations of Epworth HealthCare and will participate in the full spectrum of injury management and claims processing requirements.  In this role you will demonstrate a solutions focused approach and will liaise with key stakeholders including our people leaders, injured workers, the insurance agent, medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers. 

Key areas of focus for this role include:

• Provision of timely & professional end-to-end return to work coordination
• Contribute to early intervention strategies to reduce future occurrence
• Provide workers compensation and return to work support and expertise to respective injured worker management teams
• Provide general administration project support within the Injury Management team 
• Provide advice for non-work related injuries

About you

To be successful in the role you will:

• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (essential)
• Have allied health experience & qualification (desirable)
• Demonstrable expertise in Elumina Quickclaim (highly desirable)
• Have relevant experience in a large, complex multi-sited organisation
• Demonstrate experience with complex claims management
• Recent demonstrable experience in invoice and weekly payments processing
• Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in injury management
• Be highly accountable and demonstrate an empathetic, supportive and engaging style
• Be passionate about providing excellent care to injured workers and their return to work
• Be able to travel to all Epworth locations, including Epworth Geelong
