The Role

This role will see you looking after a wide range of HR tasks related to the onboarding and administrative management of employees. The majority of your time spent in this position will be preparing and disseminating employee related documentation, requiring that you accurately interpret relevant legislation and Fairwork regulations. You will also assist the Payroll Manager with fortnightly payroll processing (forming a minor part of your role) and appropriate training will be provided as required.

Some of your role responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, distributing and following up labour related documentation of various types ensuring completion and compliance;
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of HR Policies and Procedures;
  • Maintaining training records for all staff and assisting with any training initiatives as required;
  • Entering new employees onto the payroll system;
  • Verifying compliance with employee commencement checklist;
  • Conducting Right to Work checks;
  • Scrutinising employee timesheets for accuracy against the approved rosters;
  • Identifying any discrepancies and escalating those to the relevant manager for approval or otherwise;
  • Invoicing of payroll related variations;
  • EOM Super payments, Workcover returns, fortnightly payroll runs and payroll tax processing;
  • Entering of payroll wage data into finance system;
  • Maintaining rosters in relevant software;
  • Initial screening and booking of employee interviews;
  • Assisting/attending disciplinary meetings if ever required;
  • Strategically managing availability of human resources and directing roster changes;
  • Operations Register maintenance and audits;
  • Reconciling and processing workers compensation premiums and payments;
  • Management of Franchise Contract Allocations Forms;
  • Management of Third Party inductions (including Security Clearances);
  • Management of company inductions;
  • Work Order management;
  • Advice on Human Resource processes;
  • Other tasks as required.

Requirements

To do well in this role you will need to accurately prepare and disseminate labour related documentation in a complete and timely manner and correctly interpret any relevant legislation.

To be eligible for consideration you will have held an administrative based HR position, working in a busy environment that required you to effectively prioritise your workload. You will have a high degree of competency with Microsoft Office products and preferably have experience with a variety of software packages.
