As a leading provider of staffing and training services, Programmed employ more than 1,500 apprentices and trainees each year in various industries.
Our Group Training Organisation (GTO) is currently seeking a Training Coordinator for our National Energy Technicians Training Scheme (NETTS), specifically working with our Perth team to manage our oil and gas apprenticeship programs. Based in Henderson, with some travel required, this role will suit an individual who is a well organised people-person, self-starter who is passionate about providing quality training and employment to apprentices and trainees. As a training coordinator, your role will include:
- Development and maintenance of relationships with key client stakeholders, trainees and apprentices, training providers, state training services, and apprenticeship centres
- Management of Trainees and Apprentices which includes:

- Pastoral Care – ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to all trainees and apprentices
- Monitoring Training Progression with both the apprentice/trainee and Training Provider
- Develop and review contracts, training plans and negotiate changes with stakeholders / contractors
- Ongoing Recruitment and induction of new apprentices and trainees; review and continually develop processes
- Occupational Health and Safety management of Trainees and Apprentices within the workplace
- Completion of Workplace Risk Assessments
- Working with subject matter experts and other professionals
- General administration including reporting, timesheets and data entry
- Report to stakeholder steering committee on program outcomes and effectiveness.
- Compliance to Client Contractual Requirements and achievement of KPI’s
- Compliance to the National Group Training Standards
- Preparation of submissions and reports to State Government including Apprentice & Trainee Awards
- Programmed Reward & Recognition Programs
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Degree level education
- 5 years previous experience in oil and gas
- Demonstrate an understanding of safety and a commitment to upholding safety standards
- Experience in GTO sector or training industry experience is favourable
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Pro-active approach to finding solutions
- Dynamic team player and contributor
- Ability to build and develop strong relationships with various stakeholders at different levels
- A positive outlook
- Drive and Self-Motivation
- Enthusiasm

Salary range 90k - 100k plus superannuation.
