About the Role:

Due to ongoing growth we are currently seeking multiple seasoned workplace relations professionals to join our HR Assured team. Given the growth experienced the successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced and high performing environment while the business will provide candidates with exciting development and career opportunities.

With a solid understanding of Australian workplace laws and industrial relations framework, you will be responsible for the provision of timely workplace relations advice to an enviable client list on all workplace relations and HR matters.

The position is predominately client facing and as such the successful candidates will have strong skills in client engagement and communication, while having the demonstrated ability to guide and influence clients, or internal stakeholders, in relation to the delivery of commercial and pragmatic workplace relations solutions.

In addition to client facing work you will work closely with senior management in all areas of service delivery, business development, and the development of the broader advisory services team.

Candidates with experience and/or qualifications in New Zealand employment law will be highly regarded and strongly encouraged to apply.

Your background:

The successful candidates will have:

  • Minimum 3 years workplace relations advisory experience;
  • Formal qualifications in Law or HR;
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and Modern Award framework;
  • Ability to provide pragmatic, commercial workplace relations advice (telephone and written);
  • Experience dealing directly with clients, or internal stakeholders, concerning all workplace relations matter; and
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and demanding environment while having fun along the way.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Formal qualifications and experience in both Australia and New Zealand;
  • Experience in conducting conciliation conferences before the Fair Work Commission and equal opportunity commissions;
  • Deep understanding of Australia’s Modern Award and National Employment Standards framework;
  • Business development and client relations experience;
  • A genuine desire to develop and mentor junior members of the team; and
  • Experience and/or qualifications in New Zealand employment law.
