Medianet is Australia's leading provider of press release distribution and media intelligence in Australia. We are looking for a full time Account Manager who is passionate  about the PR industry and about delivering an extraordinary customer experience and business results. Based at our Rhodes office, you will manage a territory of existing prestigious companies and PR agencies across a variety of industry sectors as well as sourcing new business opportunities. 

Among your varied duties, you will be responsible for:

• Providing exemplary account management support and high levels of customer service for new and existing clients through regular customer liaison.
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Ongoing evaluation and assessment of the market for new products and services.
• Preparation of sales proposals and customised offerings to clients in line with business strategies.
• Maintaining accurate client records.

Ideally you are a self-motivated, highly passionate individual who has the energy and passion for working within the Media industry.

In order to be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Experience and proven success in Sales and Account Management
• Proven track record of working to call and meeting KPIs
• Ability to work with a large territory and manage your focus accordingly
• Ideally have experience working at, or with, PR agencies
• Outstanding account management and retention skills with a strong customer focus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate at a high level with internal and external stakeholders.
• A good understanding of the business market.
• Strategic & analytical thinker required to solve client needs.
• Experience working with a corporate commissions or marketing client base or in the Media industry will be desirable, but not essential.
• The ability and desire to run your territory like a business.
