About the Business

Adventures Group Holdings (Adventures) is a fast growing content and marketing business specialising in the domestic travel sector. We are looking for an experienced video editor with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our dynamic crew of Adventurers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Video Director, the ideal candidate for the role will be an experienced Video Editor, who can produce cohesive edits, in line with the brand guidelines and style.

The role will be responsible for outputting a large number of 3-5 minute videos, to integrate into the Adventures channels digital platform, as well as various client channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and an instinctive sense of how to best communicate key messages through the video platform. The candidate will also be savvy in identifying story angles within the existing video footage, cutting down interviews, to reflect the key messages of the proposed project. The candidate will also be great at identifying gaps in the story where voice over might be needed and writing dot points on what VO elements might look like, to forward on to the appropriate editor / presenter.

As a tech-savvy and intuitive video editor, the ideal candidate will drive strong video outcomes for the business.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Editing a large volume of 3-5 minute content videos for Adventures online channels as well as clients’ channels, following different styles of editing to fit within particular brand guidelines

• Animating graphical elements to be incorporated into the videos, to best represent the data outlined in the video

• Animating Logos

• Keeping to tight deadlines and making sure all projects are on track

• Responding to client feedback and implementing required changes to the videos

• Sorting the raw footage into appropriate folders and keeping the projects in line with the archiving guidelines

• Uploading projects to Google Drive and ensuring all project files on Google Drive are up-to-date daily

Skills and Experience

• A certificate IV or higher, with a focus in video production/editing, or other relevant degree or qualification

• 2-3 years experience in editing video content in a fast paced environment

• Great knowledge and experience in Premiere Pro

• Experience in colour grading and matching vision from various cameras (mainly within Adobe Premiere & After Effects)

• Knowledge of After Effects and ability to animate logos and text

• Ability to edit sound to create dynamic background for videos

• Ability to edit video content to various styles

• Basic knowledge of other Adobe Suite applications (Photoshop; Lightroom; Illustrator & Indesign) to be able to extract graphics and other elements to incorporate into the videos

• Ability to autonomously manage multiple projects and work to deadlines

• Exceptional filing and archiving skills

• Strong team player.

This position will report directly to the Senior Video Director. The successful applicant will be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.  Anyone who does not meet this basic requirement need not apply. While this is advertised as a full time role we would also explore flexible hours for the right candidate.
