We invite you to join us during this exciting period of growth to develop your career with Australia’s leading events space. We have an opportunity for a suitably skilled Audio Visual Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technology Infrastructure and Equipment team.
As our Senior Systems Engineer your primary responsibility will be managing a team of systems engineers and technicians and ensuring all of our event-based technology equipment and infrastructure is functioning, fit for purpose and delivers to our customers' expectations.
The role:
In this role, you will be expected to...
- Coach and mentor team members to operate at optimum levels in proactively delivering services to MCEC crew and event staff and ensuring quality standards throughout, as well as complying with the overarching MCEC unity principles.
- Manage the development and implementation of systems projects for the installation of new and upgraded systems to support technology services for event delivery
- Recommend and implement life-cycle equipment replacement programs
You will be working closely with our Technology Services crew and our ICT team to ensure you are across equipment requirements, as well as liaising with external suppliers when required. You will also be supporting our team with coaching and training on new equipment and providing advice on solutions to support the team.
Your role has a focus on continuous improvement in ensuring you are proactively recommending opportunities to improve MCEC's systems and services when it comes to delivering world-class event technology. You will also be involved in capital expenditure projects that enable MCEC to continue to remain as a world leader in event technology.

You.
To be successful in this role you are a team player who encourages and supports others and has:
- CTS qualification or equivalent
- Extensive experience in the AV industry, with a focus on the corporate or integration markets
- Experience leading a team of technical specialists
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
