Who you are

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented, highly-experienced and dedicated Editor to join the Quest team.  As the Community Engagement Editor you will be responsible for generating and managing community content for print and online products that contain high quality editorial content, ensuring they are informative, lively, balanced and highly relevant to the local community.

Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you will also be accountable for editorial idea generation, story development and efficient publication processes for Quest Community News in print and online.  To be successful in this role you will have a passion for news and take pride in generating stories in collaboration with the community to captivate consumers The Community Engagement Editor will source contributors to supply engaging community content in partnership with masthead editors by working remotely in the community, as well as mentor contributors to produce quality content using guided templates and submission tools. With a minimum of five years' experience in journalism and editing you will have demonstrated leadership experience.  You will thrive in a hands-on coaching and leadership role and possess the ability to simultaneously develop new editorial strategies and ideas for the editorial team.  Your passion for all things news and your demonstrated experience in building high performance editorial teams will see you drive and develop the Quest team to continual success.

Exposure to working within a digital environment will be highly regarded in this career leading role.
