Detail information about job Senior Digital Producer. Terms and conditions vacancy
If you’re looking to step up and play a key leadership role in a high-powered news team, as well as live in the idyllic surrounds of the Great Barrier Reef, then start preparing your application.
The NewsMail, based in Bundaberg in the subtropical beauty of Queensland, needs an ambitious leader to drive our digital audience growth and lift engagement on our social media platforms.
But don’t be fooled by the great location, the NewsMail is a top performing regional newspaper that has rapidly improved its paid sales in print and digital, as well as being in a region that generates plenty of hard news. You will need to be driven to maintain the momentum of the masthead.
The NewsMail is one of News Corp’s 18 regional dailies across the country, and the ideal stepping stone for someone wanting to break into leadership ranks.
The masthead is embedded in its community and is still a trusted print source, but has been lifting its digital focus to match its newspaper success.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Grow our paying digital audiences;
- Work closely with the editor to lead a team of about 12 editorial staff and empower them to reach their full potential;
- Be smart enough to know what drives readership, and what not to waste time on;
- Work closely with reporters to determine best treatment across each platform;
- Have a solid understanding of analytics.
Though this position is digitally-focused, if we find the right person they will have the opportunity to advance their career as the site’s deputy editor.
If this sounds like you, send your resume to NewsMail editor Adam Wratten at [email protected] before Wednesday, 11 July 2018.
