The Creative Services team is an integrated team that creates, designs and produces marketing campaigns for SBS' platforms.
We are looking for a Production & Edit coordinator. To be considered for the role you will be a creative problem solver and a natural organiser with an interest in the technical applications and digital file management essential for an efficient Production Department.
About the role
The main tasks/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical assistance to designers and promo producers eg ingesting materials, transcoding, edit and design prep, collating assets, testing files before delivery and continually monitoring server space.
- Provide production support for the production, design and promos team, with a focus on coordinating media and assets required for production. This includes but is not limited to traffic management, project management and general admin.
- Assist the mastering editor, designers and promo producers with final delivery of elements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that assets are available on time and to highest technical standards.
- Be a brand ambassador for platforms and brands regardless of medium.
- Work with the production team to monitor and feedback on procedures and workflows to maintain quality standards in all aspects of production including design, editing, broadcasting, archiving and maintenance.
- Report on asset requirements and maintain up to date subscriptions including; production music to APRA, stock imagery clearances, licenses, photography clearances, talent releases.
- Communicate project status to internal teams, on air, marketing and relevant stakeholders, and continually manage expectations.
- Adhere to department working processes (pre-production, estimating, scheduling, shooting, Post, Print, Approvals, documentation etc.).
- Maintain up to date finance and workflow information within department software system including creating contracts, invoicing, scheduling, cost recovery, booking travel and general office administration.
- Identify and escalate any events threatening production plans.
- Continue to grow base knowledge of production vendors, practices and innovations.
- Manage and oversee end to end projects and aspects of campaigns as assigned. From concept to completion regardless of medium.
- Manage project timelines and budgets as assigned - on time on budget delivery of work.
- Execute on the creative for small edit and design projects as assigned including line ups, Voice overs and smaller design projects.
About you
Ideally, you would have a minimum of two years of experience in post-production or broadcast media environment as well as experience with the Adobe suite of editing and design software. However an eagerness and propensity to be pro-active and learn new software is mandatory.
