About the role
Under the limited direction undertake the following duties:
- Assisting the day to day operation and delivery of the Indigenous Connections program.
- Assist in the development, coordination and delivery of multiple program activities that foster Indigenous audio-visual culture in Australia.
- Maintain and develop partnerships with Indigenous organisations and communities for the delivery of the projects within Indigenous Connections program.
- Provide secretariat support for the Indigenous Connections team and assist in research, writing reports and maintaining statistics.
- Representation of the NFSA at relevant Indigenous forums and conferences as required.
- Monitor budgets, report on expenditure and reconcile payments
Skills and experience
- Relevant experience working with Indigenous audiovisual collection information and management in a collecting institution and/or audio-visual industry is desirable.
- Library, Archive or Museum qualifications and/or other relevant tertiary studies are desirable.
