Do you want to break news across platforms at one of regional Australia's leading media businesses?

The Courier in Ballarat is looking for an experienced and talented journalist to take a leading role in a fast-paced and future-looking newsroom in a full time capacity.

The journalist will be responsible for driving content to meet daily online and print deadlines. Working closely with newsroom leaders, the successful applicant will provide an energetic and considered view on all aspects of news and event coverage.

The applicant will not only conduct interviews and investigate leads but write stories, gather visual content for digital platforms and lead debate on important local issues.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• A strong background in news reporting and decision-making
• An understanding of news production for online platforms
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Completed a journalism cadetship or have previously worked as a graded journalist for a media business.
