You may have read in the trade press recently that m2m were successful in securing the Hyundai media account.  This is a fantastic win for us as an agency and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome this high profile new business win.

Hyundai will become our largest client assignment and will join client such as Apple, Sony Pictures, Audible Macquarie Bank and Luxottica to name but a few. 

Critical to our success in effectively transitioning this new account is establishing a highly energetic, smart and capable team - and one that will add to the already collaborative culture we have established within m2m.  We have a highly skilled leadership team that will be here to support and nurture you and ensure that your time at m2m is rewarding and that you will be provided with every opportunity to thrive.

To that end we need an ambitious, devoted Strategy Director to come and join us at this exciting time. Someone who can help bring ideas to life, ask the questions that help elevate a strategy, think outside the box and help lead the relationship while nurturing the rest of the team into producing brilliant work.

What does your day to day look like?

You will be responsible for leading the development of strategic responses that deliver outstanding business outcomes for your clients. All facets of strategy development are channelled through the strategy team, and as such Strategy Directors need to be across all major client briefs, providing support to Business, Trading, SBU's etc. as needed.

You will apply our Think Human planning process and utilise proprietary planning tools on all briefs. In doing so you will ensure superior strategic output, inspiring our Business & Trading teams to develop brave and innovative executional ideas to bring your strategies to life

Collaboration is a critical element of your day-to-day operation as success in this role is only delivered through active communications and positive collaboration, internally and across the broader stakeholder base.  This includes the internal m2m team, internal OMD & SBU teams as well as clients and external agency partners. Where relevant, you will lead client partner agencies, demonstrating the value of our strategic thinking.

You will be responsible for overseeing more junior members of the team, a task we expect you to approach with care and support.  Nurturing and shaping junior talent is the lifeblood of an agency and ensuring the team are energised and committed is an important part of this role.   

While you are now an experienced media operator, ongoing training and development is also a major component of life within m2m and we genuinely want you to be the very best you can be.  The commitment and investment that m2m will make towards your training is significant, and as such we expect you to capitalise on all training programmes made available to you.

 

Critical elements of success for this role include:

  • Drive strategic thinking and creativity.
  • Ensure adherence to our Think Human strategic process and utilising our proprietary tools.
  • Develop your personal profile as well as m2m's reputation as a strategic communication agency.
  • Exceptional and collaborative communication throughout.
  • Fully conversant in the role of each channel and ability to provide justification / rationale. 
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and delivery to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate analytical / problem solving skills.

 

Who are you?

  • You've had a fair amount of experience in strategy/planning/implementation of campaigns with a strong knowledge of all media
  • You demonstrate a curious approach to work and the world around you and you're always asking questions about what can/can't be done
  • Auto category experience isn't required at all but if you have it or want it, it's going to help you get behind the brand.
  • You're fuelled by the need to deliver the best output for your clients and are able to anticipate their needs
  • You're able to think critically and fully evaluate solutions to problems.
  • You're able to get the best out of your team and people look up to you as a mentor
  • Last but not least, you love what you do, and it shows!
