You may have read in the trade press recently that m2m were successful in securing the Hyundai media account.  This is a fantastic win for us as an agency and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome this high profile new business win.

Hyundai will become our largest client assignment and will join clients such as Apple, Sony Pictures, Audible Macquarie Bank and Luxottica to name but a few. 

Critical to our success in effectively transitioning this new account is establishing a highly energetic, smart and capable team - and one that will add to the already collaborative culture we have established within m2m.  We have a highly skilled leadership team that will be here to support and nurture you and ensure that your time at m2m is rewarding and that you will be provided with every opportunity to thrive.

To that end we need a highly organised Trading Director to come and join us at this exciting time. Someone who has meticulous attention to detail and can set the negotiation benchmark and standards for Hyundai and m2m. Someone who can navigate the implementation of media buys through all channels and support the team in delivering the best outcomes.

What does your day to day look like?

As a fully embedded function trading does not operate in a siloed capacity, but works in a fully collaborative capacity with the Business Management and other OMD/Omnicom SBUs as required. You will operate in a nimble, dynamic media environment and will be expected to manage the team and maintain extreme efficiency at managing multiple projects and clients. A focus for you is driving team productivity and quality output. Being both commercially savvy and expert in all things screen are two key attributes we need and you will be expected to drive automation via the development of the trading unit's systems and tools.

As Trading Director, you will play a critical role in delivering on buying KPI's and accountability metrics. You will be expected to oversee an effective trading team, manage resource and keep your team motivated. You should work closely with the Business Directors and seek to embed yourself at channel planning stage. Importantly, you should own client relationships for trading and set the benchmarks for m2m media relationships.

Nurturing and shaping junior talent is the lifeblood of this agency and ensuring the team are energised and committed is an important part of your role.  As one of the most experienced members of the agency you will also be expected to support and mentor team members outside of your direct team, as and when needed.

Who are you?

  • You've had around 10+ years' experience, most recently in a senior capacity, overseeing media buying at a senior level.
  • You're fuelled by the need to deliver the best output for your clients and are able to anticipate their needs
  • You're able to think critically and fully evaluate solutions to problems.
  • You actively want to get involved with wider agency initiatives and help drive the culture of the agency.
  • You're able to get the best out of your team and people look up to you as a mentor as you guide them through their media career
  • Last but not least, you love what you do, and it shows!
