Your Money is an exciting new media business formed by a groundbreaking partnership between Nine and Australian News Channel (Sky News). The 24-hour channel will broadcast and stream business news, real estate, luxury lifestyle and personal finance on a Nine free-to-air channel, Foxtel and multiple digital services.
We are looking for a full-time Television Producer/Journalist who has abundant ideas and a stellar work-ethic to work in a fast-paced Sydney Business newsroom. You will create accurate, timely and dynamic business and finance focused content for broadcast news. This position allows for initiative and creativity in a fully integrated newsroom.
Who you are:
- Must have a genuine interest in financial markets, business news and possess an understanding of the Australian corporate landscape
- Ability to write accurately and timely
- Perform research, source and book guests, write scripts, source vision and create graphic elements
- Control room experience
- Pitch original stories and prepare background briefs
- Proven experience in creating content, as well as possessing sound editorial style and judgement
- Ability to quickly switch priorities, work under deadline pressure and learn new technologies
- Able to work collaboratively within a team environment, with an ability to build networks and draw upon existing contacts
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Experience in broadcast media, digital editing and using ENPS or similar is an advantage
