Your Money is an exciting new media business formed by a groundbreaking partnership between Nine and Australian News Channel (Sky News). The 24-hour channel will broadcast and stream business news, real estate, luxury lifestyle and personal finance on a Nine free-to-air channel, Foxtel and multiple digital services.

With technology growing and the increasing demand for instant News, Journalists want to do everything themselves. Since technology supports this "want", Video Journalists are the next big thing in journalism.

Working as a Video Journalist allows you to excel in multiple roles - Producer, Reporter, Cameraman and Editor.

The role:

• Shoot, edit, write and produce stories/segments from start to finish
• Carry out in-depth research across an entire range of output, with minimal supervision
• Undertake interviewing and reporting duties, in both recorded and live situations, within studios and in outdoor environments
• Write material for scripts, text, links and bulletins - ensure editorial judgement is constantly exercised
• Produce both live and pre recorded programs for television and other media channels, based on extensive research
• Gather and prepare both audio and video materials for use on any service, and ensure that appropriate footage is shot and edited in a timely manner
• Work with editorial teams to ensure that voice overs are properly recorded and blended into the original footage
• Create and maintain effective liaison with local contacts by filling a public relations role

Who You Are:

• A keen interest and strong knowledge in news/business/finance is essential
• Ability to work solo or in a small team
• Great journalistic skills
• Ability to write engaging, accurate and crisp copy, quickly, and under pressure
• Flexible, which means working irregular hours, and unpredictable shifts, driven by news demands with regular weekend work. May be required to travel at short notice
• Work unsupervised, to tight deadlines, under pressure
• Ability to operate own camera and live link equipment
