The Art Gallery Society of NSW is looking for a Deputy Editor to assist in the production of its members magazine Look. A bi-monthly, 84-page publication, Look is a key benefit of membership, which aims to keep members informed about exhibitions and events at the Art Gallery of NSW, enhance their experience of visiting the Gallery, and foster their connection to the state’s leading institution for the visual arts and its membership body.
Established in 1953, the Art Gallery Society of NSW is a not for profit whose mission is to sustain support for the Art Gallery of NSW through events, lectures and workshops, contributions towards collection acquisitions and the publication of Look.
Candidates should possess at least three years’ experience in a similar or related role, tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, exceptional writing and editing ability, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills. The position is 28 hours a week, 4 days Tuesday- Friday.
