Company:
Our client is a well established, leading provider of exhibitions and conferences across Australia.  They currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Executive within the exhibitions, conference and events space to join their friendly and driven team of professionals.
 
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager the key purpose in this critical role is to manage the pre show, onsite and post show operations of exhibitions and related events within the organisations corporate and financial guidelines. The main aim is to support and assist the sales and marketing area in the preparation and presentation of all events.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the direction, planning and control of the operations of all events to ensure that the organisation continues to deliver high quality exhibition for exhibitors and visitors
  • Manage the operational components of the budget to achieve profit targets
  • Communicate with and supervise contractors to ensure all exhibitions and events are serviced to the correct show requirements and presented as expected
  • Implement effective administrative and organisational procedures for each exhibition and event within the team
  • Constantly review emerging technologies, systems and procedures to ensure the organisation is at the forefront of industry
  • Supervision and assisting with mentoring and the development of Operations Co-ordinators
  • Operations pre-show management
  • Operations on-site management
  • Operations post show management
  • OHS Management
  • Reporting to Senior Operations Manager
Skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated local experience in an exhibitions operations management role – essential
  • Demonstrated experience supervising others within a team environment
  • MS Office skills – intermediate/advanced
  • Sound understanding of cost control and budgeting
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Sound decision making skills
  • Ability to deal with all levels of people across an organisation
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to deal with all teams in the exhibition portfolios
  • Sound negotiation skills
  • High level of analytical and problem solving skills
