The person we are looking for:

To excel in this role, you are going to need to be highly motivated with an outgoing personality and thrive on problem solving.  You will have strong track record in leading the design, programming and installation of complex multimedia projection systems, along with experience and a genuine focus on client management and customer relations. You will have the creative and detailed eye needed to design projection based multimedia exhibition layouts, manage the installation of multimedia, artefact and interactive displays, plus oversee the care and maintenance of touring equipment and maintaining detailed documentation and project plans.

Traveling the world and working with different cultures and languages is something you see as an exciting bonus. Through your previous touring and work experience, you will know that extensive travel, late nights and weekends spent overseas, are all part of the lifestyle that comes with this sort of opportunity. Above all else you’re not going to mind getting your hands dirty, you’re going to have an “I’ll get it done” attitude and be proud and passionate about making sure every exhibition is perfect on opening day, and every day after that.

What you’ll be doing:

Your responsibilities will include designing and planning multimedia installations, detail scheduling, venue-specific space and technical layouts, project planning, client liaison, general logistics, and so much more. This is an end-to-end management role, so you will be developing and implementing your detailed project management plans, and extending that through to managing onsite installations and remote troubleshooting. You will need to proactively manage on-site teams of technicians, electricians, and labourers in overseas countries, so you’ll need to have exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.

  • An outgoing and strong personality, with the ability to be adaptable in the way you communicate ideas and plans.

  • A passion for frequent international travel.
  • Ability to determine technical and associated requirements, strong decision making, and exceptional problem-solving talents.
  • Experience with multi-display software platforms such as Dataton Watchout and Watchpax hardware.
  • Working knowledge of Sketch Up, AutoCad or Vectorworks.
  • High level of competency with both Mac and PC platforms

If you’re yelling out “YES, THIS IS ME!”, then apply now.  Send your resume and an introduction letter explaining how you’re the person we need, and how you will exceed the requirements and desired skills outlined above.
