The Global Marketing & Communications (GM&C) team is responsible for enterprise wide: marketing strategy formulation; research and insights; brand management, channel marketing, content strategy, marketing services and communications, including client comms, client reporting and internal comms.
Due to the growth of our business we are now seeking to appoint a Content Editor & Senior Writer to the team. This role is responsible for the oversight and delivery of all content and editorial on behalf of AMP Capital as it relates to the strategic objectives of the business, with a focus on supporting the sales process, reputation protection and brand management.
You will be responsible for preparing, rewriting and editing copy to improve readability. You will also align content to AMPCs strategic messaging framework and coordinate online or print publishing cycle and manage content areas.
Other important facets to the role include setting publication standards and establishing goals and expectations, delivering story ideas through all mediums as well as interviewing and hiring writers and reporters or negotiating contracts, royalties, and payments for authors or freelancers.
Knowledge and experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Minimum five years’ financial services journalism/editorial experience
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight multiple deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to be a positive and engaging team member and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and the funds management industry, including an understanding of asset classes
- A sound knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
