Our newsroom in Young has a vacancy for an experienced journalist to take on the role of editor.
We are looking for a talented, experienced journalist to take up the position of editor of this trusted bi-weekly community newspaper.
This is a challenging hands-on position involving filing stories for both the print and website products, managing and inspiring staff and engaging Young's vibrant community.
The successful applicant will be as comfortable covering council rounds and general news as you are working on community and social news. You must have an eye for news and be able to work quickly and accurately and be an ambassador for the Young Witness.
Considerable reporting experience with newspapers and digital products is essential.
Experience in digital photography and a sound knowledge of social media would be a distinct advantage.
