Sydney is getting a brand new world class theatre and you could be a part of the team! The Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre (WSPAC) will become a cultural hub for arts and entertainment. It is the opportunity of a lifetime to be a part of this historical moment.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Event Support Coordinator to join our team at Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre (WSPAC).

In this important role you will support the Leadership team in the coordination of events, play a vital part in the implementation of partnership and marketing campaigns and will support the management of WSPAC to deliver the best possible marketing and event outcomes.

To succeed in this role you will need to ensure high standards of execution are maintained, whilst delivering high levels of customer service and clear communication for initiatives that assist the WSPAC team to deliver commercially successful events.

About Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre (WSPAC)

With unprecedented scale, design and facilities, in close proximity to Sydney’s new airport and positioned along the M7 and M4 corridors, the Performing Arts Centre will become a much-loved domestic and international tourist destination. Set to provide 150 new jobs in the hospitality and entertainment sectors the 2,000-seat theatre that will have the capacity to host full scale theatre productions, musicals and concerts. The venue will attract new and diverse events to the region.

What you need to be successful

  • Experience in the events and/or venue industry with demonstrated knowledge of the Australian entertainment industry landscape including media planning and media buying
  • Experience in campaign execution, implementation and budget management
  • Experience managing small to medium events and PR opportunities
  • Experience supporting ticketing functions
  • Understanding of social media content creation and roll out
  • Basic experience with website CMS and writing copy
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing or relevant discipline is advantageous
