The Bauer Digital team is looking for a passionate Social & Content Executive to join our talented gang, sitting within the Audience Development remit. The role will have a key focus in helping to further develop and grow the Bauer social media offering across all brands including Elle, Gourmet Traveller and The Australian Women's Weekly; but will also include opportunity to work across all aspects of the audience development cycle including analytics, SEO, syndication with a particular focus on email marketing.

As Social & Content Executive you will ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day activities across the breadth of our social media assets; with a broader remit over our email marketing campaigns. Working closely with the Social & Content Manager, rest of the audience development team as well as the editorial teams, you will ensure social traffic targets are met, own content sharing across the network, help manage paid social campaigns and ensure best practice across all platforms.

We are looking for someone who is both right-brained and left-brained, not afraid of working with data and metrics but equally passionate about brand and tone. The Social & Content Executive will work with the Social & Content Manager to ensure that the Bauer brands are hitting new highs across all social media & email platforms while ensuring best practice is adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with editorial and audience teams to ensure content sharing is optimised across all social platforms

  • Create and review organic social campaigns

  • Implement and manage paid social campaigns across multiple platforms

  • Monitor & pro-actively increase email list and engagement performance across all brands

  • Proactively identify and make recommendations on poor performing content and social channel engagement & conversion

  • Own and manage the social & email publishing product relationships

  • Maintain, develop and optimise Bauer’s existing social media platforms, including establishing new presence on emerging platforms

  • Provide editorial and commercial teams with strategic and tactical support across social & email; responsible for education across the business on social best practice

Key skills:

  • Hands-on experience using social media publishing and analytics tools focusing on interaction and engagement

  • Editorial/copywriting experience, ideally across a variety of brands

  • Keen brand awareness and understanding across a wide variety of brands and audiences

  • Basic knowledge of email marketing best practice

  • Sound knowledge of key tools inc. Google Analytics, CrowdTangle etc.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

Desirable skills:

  • Commercial management of social media budget and trafficking

  • Analytically driven, results-focused campaign experience

  • Strong editorial background

  • Knowledge of content syndication and relevant partners

  • Awareness of SEO best practice and technical set-up

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
