Our IT team is seeking a Security Engineer with solid experience to undertake activities in the design, implementation, support and operation of Kmart's information security infrastructure.  This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Kmart IT Networks and Security Team Leader, you will have sound technical experience and knowledge with the tools and methodologies required to successfully manage Information security in a distributed environment.  You will also have experience in providing input into technical designs to satisfy business requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience with any or all of the following technologies:

• email and web content filtering
• firewall (traditional, NG)
• antivirus& malware analysis
• incident handling (IRP, DRP)
• encryption technologies
• remote access technologies (VPN, SSL, IPSEC)
• proxy IDS/IPS,
• log correlation tools, e.g. SIEM
• vulnerability scanning
• cloud security
• breach detection technologies
• DLP technologies

Other desired experience would include:

• A solid understanding of network, systems and applications as they relate to security policies, industry trends and business needs
• Relevant certifications (e.g.: CISSP, CCSA, GIAC, JNCIA) would be highly regarded

You will ideally possess a solid understanding of a large client and server environment covering laptops, PCs, peripherals, POS, hand-held and servers. This role will provide the right applicant with opportunities to expand their skills into other areas.  Your knowledge of Information security practices and demonstrated awareness in applicable IT change and problem management processes will be critical for your success.
