About the role
Senior Software Engineer (AWS, C++, Node.js, Angular 6, JavaScript, TDD, Distributed Database SQL/NoSQL, Agile) will have the responsibility to utilise and share your knowledge of cloud (AWS) based applications and explore the latest trends in AWS services and software development technologies so that we constantly improve and meet our customers’ future needs.
Senior Software Engineer (AWS, C++, Node.js, Angular 6, JavaScript, TDD, Distributed Database SQL/NoSQL, Agile) will have pride in your work efforts, applying effective analysis, design, programming and testing skills to produce releasable customer focussed product iterations.
The Senior Software Engineer (AWS, C++, Node.js, Angular 6, JavaScript, TDD, Distributed Database, SQL/NoSQL, Agile) should be passionate about developing great, well-designed software to delight customers.
Skills and experience required to perform in the role:
- 4 + years professional software engineering experience in Agile/Scrum
- Proficiency in Node.js, Angular 6 and JavaScript
- Demonstrated experience with AWS
- Proficiency with microservices architecture
- Developing software using TDD and test automation
- Expert knowledge of creating and using APIs (eg. XML, RPC, SOAP, REST)
- Experience with Distributed Database Technologies (SQL/NoSQL e.g. DynamoDB, MongoDB, Elastic)
- Git repository management
- Programming in a Windows environment
- Benchmarking systems, analyse system bottlenecks, and propose solutions to eliminate
- Developing in environments with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- Knowledge of Pros and Cons of various technologies and platforms
- Business needs factored into solutions
- Bachelor level degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or similar
Desirable skills
- Programming in Linux/Unix environments
- Demonstrated experience in C++ using templates and STL
- Demonstrated experience in C#, ASP.NET MVC
- Visual Studio 2010 or later
- MS Ecosystem - Exchange, SQL Server, Active Directory
- Relevant Industry Certifications
- ITIL Foundations v3 Certification)
