Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Lambda, Docker, VPC, Node.js, Jenkins, Ansible, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, Python, DNS, Network) will join a global software house client that is a highly regarded organisation that specialises in creating specialist software packages that are used by their customers globally in critical high frequency, low latency environments.
About the role
Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Lambda, Docker, VPC, Node.js, Jenkins, Ansible, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, Python, DNS, Network) responsible for understanding product requirements to assist with the deployment, maintenance and operation of AWS SaaS products. They will be required to lead complex projects, provide subject matter expertise and technical direction across the business.
Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Lambda, Docker, VPC, Node.js, Jenkins, Ansible, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, Python, DNS, Network) will:
- Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based system to ensure the availability, performance, scalability of the production system.
- Lead as the subject matter expert and coordinates communication and activities between technical teams.
- You’ll work with your team of 2 other DevOps Engineers, the QA and Security personnel to assist the Development Teams produce prioritised features with high quality.
- You will spearhead architecture, tooling and technology best practices for Cloud environments from a DevOps perspective.
- You will be responsible for the creation of automation tasks and treat infrastructure as code.
- You will assist with the building of monitoring solutions and the resolution of escalated software or infrastructure related issues.
Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Lambda, Docker, VPC, Node.js, Jenkins, Ansible, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, Python, DNS, Network) will require:
- Experience in DevOps practices such as CI/CD, Configuration management and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible.
- Deep understanding of AWS services such as CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, and S3.
- Experience in AWS Serverless offerings such as Lambda and DynamoDB is desirable.
- Experience in architecting web applications.
- Experience in DNS, Web Servers, SSH and RDP.
- Experience in scripting with Python or NodeJS.
- Knowledge on fundamentals of Networking and System Administration.
- Bachelor level degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or similar.
