The Microsoft Platforms Technical Consultant is responsible for working directly with customers to assess, design and implement optimal technical solutions across the Microsoft Infrastructure platforms stack. A primary responsibility of the role will be to propose and implement technologies and migration strategies that transition enterprise environments into our clients lines of business. The consultant will utilize their highly developed business acumen to present the business value of their technical recommendations in an ROI based manner. The consultant will work directly with executive and senior level decision makers as well as IT operations staff throughout the billable consulting and delivery phases in this highly visible role.
Practise:
The consultants require a high degree of self-motivation, and must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Individuals are expected to maintain current understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Office Communications Server, SOL and Systems Centre. Candidates should be able to assume leadership on engagements and work without direct supervision, interfacing with customer IT and business-function leaders. The team also works closely with various technical and project teams to identify and resolve issues, and mitigate customer impact during engagements.

Personal Development:
•Maintain continuous certification requirements for all relevant vendors and technology products
•Attend all the training courses and briefing sessions organised by Product group or Practice leads
•Maintain Yearly compliance training certification status
General:
•Min. 3 Years Consulting Experience
•5 Years Project Delivery Experience
•7 Years Technical Operations Experience
Consulting:
•Proven track record of consulting delivery (technical business case, detailed architecture design)
•Proven Track record of best practise migration planning and execution
•Demonstrable executive communication skills
•Demonstrable business and financial acumen
•ITIL Foundation
Technical:
•Highly developed planning, design and implementation skills
•Detailed knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Server and range of Microsoft related skills
•Detailed knowledge of network infrastructure
•Detailed knowledge of Best Practise Design and Migration;
•Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, Hyper V)
•Systems Management Technologies Design and Implementation (Altiris, SCCM etc). Current relevant MSFT certifications
